Eira Medical is a physician-owned and operated medical practice focusing on urological and sexual health care. We are the first in practice in Ontario to offer people with vaginas a range of innovative treatments to improve pelvic health. Dr. Alaina Garbens
Dr. Garbens is a practising Urologist and co-founder of Eira Medical. She completed medical school and her residency in Urology at The University of Toronto. She subsequently completed her subspeciality fellowship training in Minimally Invasive Surgery, Robotics and Endourology at the University of Texas Southwestern in Dallas, Texas. Dr. Garbens has a PhD in surgical education, performance and outcomes from the University of Toronto. Dr. Garbens brings her surgical expertise and knowledge in urogenital health to the Eira Medical team.
Dr. Sarah Peltz
Dr. Peltz is a Urologist and co-founder of Eira Medical. She completed medical school at McMaster University and her residency training in Urology at the University of Toronto, followed by a fellowship in Endourology, Minimally Invasive Surgery, and Robotics. She currently works as a Urologist at Mackenzie Health.
Dr. Janet McMordie
Dr. Janet McMordie is a Sport & Exercise Medicine Physician with specialty training in Women's Sexual Health. She completed medical school, family medicine residency, and sport medicine fellowship at McMaster University. She holds a diploma in Sports Medicine from the Canadian Academy of Sport and Exercise Medicine (CASEM). She is a member of the International Society for the Study of Women's Sexual Health
Dr. McMordie's clinical interests and research include management of hypoactive sexual desire disorder (HSDD) in premenopausal women, barriers to sex-positive healthcare in rural communities, return to activity postpartum, as well as the influence of the menopausal period on musculoskeletal injury.
Nurse Yasmeen
Nurse Yasmeen received her Registered Practical Nursing designation from Seneca College. Her experience working within medical aesthetic and acute care settings has adapted her to provide a highly personalized, client-centered approach to treatments unique to each patient. Nurse Yasmeen is a member of the College of Nurses of Ontario and has obtained certification with advanced theory of hyaluronic acid fillers and the use of neuromodulators. Driven by her passion for women's health, Nurse Yasmeen remains committed to continuing education to stay updated with latest treatment innovations.
